This item is a privately published book inscribed to "my dear friend Mrs. Traill" from "George W. Bridges, Beachly Parsonage June 18, 1862." The book tells of the desertion of Mr. Bridges' wife and the drowning of their daughters in an accident near Jamaica and his efforts to effect a reconciliation.

Item is an undated land document and attached hand-drawn plan for Lot 26, Concession 12 in Otonabee Township. The reverse side of the plan has the inscription, "Campbell to Fraser."

This fonds consists of two execution books from 1851 to 1852 in the County of Ontario. One is an account book referring to fees paid and the costs covered. The other is an account of summons sent and received. Places mentioned include Brock, Beaverton, Darlington, Mariposa, Millbrook, and London. There are accounts of L. Fairbanks, up to 1858 in the books as well.

Collection consists of 17 postcards depicting various buildings especially in the cities of Hamilton and London, but also in Belleville and Kingston, and one in Montreal, Quebec. Most of the cards are addressed to Miss Charlotte Banks, Brantford, Ontario, and are dated 1908-1911.

Item is a framed unnamed watercolour of a house with a woman standing in front. The inscription reads: Olive Langley. /50. A further identification tag on the frame reads: Peterborough Artist and Author.

This fonds consists of a scrapbook containing photographs depicting Oak Ridge Camp activities and canoe trips. Included in the album are newspaper clippings relating to Stoney Lake Regatta. Photographs of Mount Rushmore, Catalina, Yellowstone Park and La Jolla Beach can also be found in this collection.

This item is a notebook, covering part of May and June of 1923. It contains notes on medical experiments. The return address reads "Department of Pathology, (Bacteriology Section) Toronto General Hospital" while the label on the cover reads "Notes on Military Lectures Given to the Officers' Training Corps of the Army Service Department of the Canadian Militia at Toronto".

This item is a photograph of the Council members of Northumberland and Durham county from 1907. The photograph also shows counties' gaol, municipal and counties' buildings, and house of refuge. The name "B.K. Van Buren" is taped on the bottom.

This item is a broadside which reads "A By-Law to amend By-Law No. 54, ...... for the purpose of restraining the running at large of Animals in the Township of North Monaghan, providing for the impounding of the same and settling the height and description of Fences in said Township." The broadside was printed by Alexander Graham of Peterborough.

This 73-page typewritten manuscript is an anecdotal record of the information McBain amassed about the properties in northeast Cavan Township. It includes a record of the hamlet of Springville west of the Cavan-Monaghan boundary and of Fairmount (formerly Morrow), a crossroads on the 12th Line, and references to Ida and Mount Pleasant on the middle road. There are in-depth references to properties and families on the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th lines east of the middle road to the Monaghan boundary.

This collection consists of a number of articles written by Norman McBain about families in Cavan and about topics of interest in the Cavan area, i.e. inns, taxes, schools, etc. It also includes the following: an article by E.S. Clarry on an 1821 petition to the King regarding voting rights; a bylaw re taverns; the history of Fairmount Church and Methodist givings; an 1896 ballot for Cavan officers; a clipping re George Berry; a list of Overseers of Highways, fence viewers, etc.; an audited financial statement of Cavan for 1875; a newspaper report of Cavan Council business; an invoice re sidewalks; notes on Cavan town hall; and several pages of original hand-written notes re persons holding various offices in Cavan. Also included are copies of clippings re Cavan Blazers, school graduation results, etc.

Fonds consists of four notebooks of poetry and penmanship belonging to Mary Smithson Nimmo, South Monaghan Township, Ontario.

This fonds consists of three notebooks which belonged to various members of the Nimmo family. The notebook belonging to Robert Davidson Nimmo holds accounts from 1860 to 1865. The notebook belonging to T.J. Nimmo contains recipes for tanning and taxidermy, circa 1893. There is an account book belonging to Mrs. R. Nimmo dating from 1898 to 1906 and a diary of A.R.M. Nimmo from 1908.

This item consists of 2 pages of banknotes printed by the Newcastle District Loan Company in August of 1836.

This fonds consists of a letter and postcard of W.G. Hankinson to his wife at Deloraine in Manitoba, discussing personal matters and the establishment of his men's shop in Cobalt, Ontario.

This item is a notebook containing photographs of the Wilson family, King Street, Cobourg. Some photographs were taken in Regina, Saskatchewan. Almost every photograph is identified by subject and photographer, and a few are also dated.

The fonds consists of a memoir (photocopy, 8 pages) on Sir MacKenzie Bowell (1823-1917) by his private secretary; and an anonymous scrapbook of clippings relating to Canadian Railways, Laurier, Bourassa, Canadian nationalism and annexationism.
