              Fonds is comprised of records created by or collected by Stephen Ogden documenting the Tiny Township Stop Dump Site 41 campaign. Dating 1979 through 2016, it represents a significant episode in Canadian environment activism and is comprehensive in scope. Among the materials included are: notes for speeches; transcriptions of government environmental assessments and WYE Citizens Group meetings; WYE Citizens Group press releases; maps and records of water well locations near Site 41; hydrological and geotechnical records pertaining to the watershed characteristics of the Site 41 area; MOE correspondence and statements relating to proposed dump site management, waste management and related technological considerations; Simcoe County “Corporate Services” records including meeting minutes and agendas, notifications, memorandum, notes, correspondence and emails, and media clippings; court proceedings and legal documents obtained through Freedom of Information requests made by Stephen Ogden; photographs, dossiers for exhibits; audio-visual materials including cassette tapes, VHS tapes, CDs and DVDs.

              Fonds consists of papers, articles, and manuscripts of books written by Robert Bowley. Included is research material, photographs, slides, and negatives relating to the postal history of Smith Township, Peterborough, and the surrounding area. Included also are letters dated 1823-1878 of the Baptie family who were situated in Ida, Ontario, and extensive research material related to Captain Charles Rubidge, Sir Sandford Fleming, the Pengelley/Roche families, S.J. Carver, and local historic sites. This fonds is a tremendous resource for information related to Peterborough and area in general.

              File consists of one CD-R and one CD-RW. The CD-R is undated but the label states that it contains a Gzowski tribute, likely dating it to after 2002. Also on the label, it states that the CD-R contains PGI information, photographs, learner biographies, and poems. The CD-RW is labeled "Final Report Whitehorse, YT PGI 2006" and is dated August 22, 2006. The label also states that the CD-RW contains photographs of poets, learners, national signs, and events, as well as media and program images. It also contains the Canada Post Literacy Quiz and other printed materials and images.

              Series documents the administration of the Peter Gzowski Invitational (PGI) charity golf tournament between 1986-2010. PGI is an annual fundraising tournament administered by the Peter Gzowski Foundation for Literacy. It is played at multiple golf courses across Canada to raise money for adult literacy. Series consists of pamphlets, brochures, ads, newspaper clippings, poems, CDs, VHS tapes, photographs, and a scrapbook. Series contains PGI poems for all years except for 1987 and 2008. Other events, such as awards and speeches within the PGIs are documented as well.

              Fonds consists of records documenting Peter Gzowski’s professional activities as the host of CBC’s Morningside (predominant 1997) as well as his annual charity golf tournament, the Peter Gzowski Invitational (PGI) (1986-2010). Gzowski’s personal life and education is also documented, as well as Gzowski family history from 1813-2002.

              Professional activities documented include researching and producing Morningside and ongoing work related to other CBC programming. Correspondence includes listener letters and internal communications within CBC. Research and production material include show notes, logs, drafts, scripts, and handwritten notes. PGI material includes copies of poems from PGI events, photographs, ads and programs, and limited correspondence.

              Personal activities documented include Gzowski’s undergraduate studies, honours and awards received throughout his schooling and professional life, projects such as research into Stephen Leacock, and Gzowski’s death in 2002. Material documenting Gzowski’s undergraduate studies include photographs and course essays. Awards include The Canadian Journalism Foundation lifetime achievement award and an honourary LL.D. degree from the University of Western Ontario. Research material includes correspondence, drafts, notes, and photocopies of published material. Gzowski’s death is documented through several volumes of memorial books.

              Gzowski family history documented include genealogies, education, and personal relationships. The professional life of Peter Gzowski’s paternal great-aunt, Hope Morgan, as a soprano is also documented. Correspondence includes letters from Peter Gzowski’s mother, Margaret Young, to her own parents; letters between Gzowski’s paternal grandparents, Vera Gzowski and Harold N. Gzowski; and letters between his father, Harold E. Gzowski and his paternal grandparents. Photographs include portraits, some framed, of Gzowski’s paternal relatives. Research material related to Gzowski family history includes correspondence, photographs, and photocopies of published material, especially about Sir Casimir Gzowski, Peter Gzowski’s paternal great-great-grandfather.

              This addition to the fonds consists of manuscripts for the "Morningside Years" and "Friends, Moments, Countryside", correspondence between Peter Gzowski, McClelland and Stewart and other editorial staff. There are 'mail bag' and 'ROA' (read on air) letters addressed to the Morningside show, some of which are included in the "Morningside Years." Also included is one complete radio program schedule and a program for "Peter Gzowski's Invitationals play the Winter Garden." There are also nineteen computer disks consisting of letters, transcripts of "Morningside" interviews, and chapters of the "Morningside Years". Twenty-four audio cassette tapes of Gzowski's interviews with various Canadian authors and scientists such as Margaret Laurence, Margaret Atwood, Dr. Tak Mak, William O. Mitchell, Robertson Davies, William Unruh, Jean Chretien, Alice Munro, Timothy Findley are also included. As well, there are a total of six photographs of Peter Gzowski and his staff.
