This fonds consists of the personal records of Professor Thomas H.B. Symons relating to his activities on various boards and committees as well as Trent University. It includes correspondence; addresses given; articles written; as well as manuscripts, typescripts and research notes, photographs and video tapes.

Series consists of student research papers, primarily those written for Trent University's course on Haliburton Bioregionalism.

Fonds is comprised of records created by or collected by Stephen Ogden documenting the Tiny Township Stop Dump Site 41 campaign. Dating 1979 through 2016, it represents a significant episode in Canadian environment activism and is comprehensive in scope. Among the materials included are: notes for speeches; transcriptions of government environmental assessments and WYE Citizens Group meetings; WYE Citizens Group press releases; maps and records of water well locations near Site 41; hydrological and geotechnical records pertaining to the watershed characteristics of the Site 41 area; MOE correspondence and statements relating to proposed dump site management, waste management and related technological considerations; Simcoe County “Corporate Services” records including meeting minutes and agendas, notifications, memorandum, notes, correspondence and emails, and media clippings; court proceedings and legal documents obtained through Freedom of Information requests made by Stephen Ogden; photographs, dossiers for exhibits; audio-visual materials including cassette tapes, VHS tapes, CDs and DVDs.

This fonds consists of 4 boxes of materials related to the life and works of Spencer J. Harrison.

Sub-series consists of sound and video recordings documenting local, provincial, and national events and outreach activities. The sub-series includes two unlabeled, damaged magnetic tape sound recordings and one blank Scotch brand magnetic tape.

Fonds consists of manuscripts of books and articles by Scott Young, correspondence with publishers, royalty statements, newspaper articles, VHS and cassette tapes, computer discs, photographs, and materials relating to the naming of Scott Young Public School. Also included are family photographs and memorabilia relating to his son, Neil Young.

Fonds consists of papers, articles, and manuscripts of books written by Robert Bowley. Included is research material, photographs, slides, and negatives relating to the postal history of Smith Township, Peterborough, and the surrounding area. Included also are letters dated 1823-1878 of the Baptie family who were situated in Ida, Ontario, and extensive research material related to Captain Charles Rubidge, Sir Sandford Fleming, the Pengelley/Roche families, S.J. Carver, and local historic sites. This fonds is a tremendous resource for information related to Peterborough and area in general.

Series consists of special media (photographs, graphics, sound and video recordings) and digital files that document local events organized or sponsored by the Peterborough District Labour Council (PDLC), the PDLC executive, and the production of the Labour Review magazine. The series is organized into four sub-series, corresponding to the received order and organization of special media. The sub-series are: Blue binder; Loose disks; Sound recordings and video recordings; and Photographs.

File consists of eight VHS tapes. One is labeled "Fifth Annual P.G.I." and the seven are labeled "PGI Red Barn '92" tapes #1-#7.

File consists of one CD-R and one CD-RW. The CD-R is undated but the label states that it contains a Gzowski tribute, likely dating it to after 2002. Also on the label, it states that the CD-R contains PGI information, photographs, learner biographies, and poems. The CD-RW is labeled "Final Report Whitehorse, YT PGI 2006" and is dated August 22, 2006. The label also states that the CD-RW contains photographs of poets, learners, national signs, and events, as well as media and program images. It also contains the Canada Post Literacy Quiz and other printed materials and images.

Fonds consists of records documenting the administrative and social activities of the Peterborough District Labour Council, with particular emphasis between 1990 and 2003. Canadian, provincial, and local labour histories are well-documented. Records include correspondence between PDLC executives and other labour leaders; published (e.g., books) and unpublished (e.g., grey literature) material relating to labour rights, legislation, and union activities; photographs of community events and partnerships in Peterborough; and ephemera, such as posters and brochures.

Administrative records include correspondence, by-laws, agendas and minutes of meetings, motions and resolutions, reports, financial statements, membership forms, and directories. Of note are PDLC minutes between 1974-2013 (incomplete) and correspondence relating to activism and outreach. Some PDLC newsletters are included amongst administrative records, where they were part of the original order.

Published material includes books, periodicals, and reports relating to labour history, social issues, and legislation. Published material also includes the PDLC newsletter (1975-1996), copies of Labour Review (1970-2009), and copies of the Trades and Labour Congress journal (1954-1955).

Unpublished material includes research papers, submissions to provincial and federal government, presentations, collective agreements, and manuals.

Photographs and other media include records relating to annual Day of Mourning events, Canada Day, Labour Day, fundraising initiatives, local partnerships, and material intended for publication in Labour Review magazine.
