The fonds consists of nine oil paintings, 8 of which are on board and one on canvas material, of sites in the Townships of Burleigh and Otonabee and were painted between 1941 and 1943. Six pictures deal with the Mount Julian/Stoney Lake area, while the other two are pictures of sites at the Village of Keene in Otonabee Township. The last is a picture of a pioneer cabin, in Burleigh Township.

These portraits consist of two items. One is a portrait of Charles Rubidge, [181-?]. The caption "Captn C. Rubidge. Royal Navy, London, England," and a stamped credit "Brown 163 High Holborn London" are found on the reverse. The other is a portrait by F.W. Lock, 1845, of an unidentified male with last name Rubidge, believed to be a son of Charles Rubidge.

Collection consists of 2 folders of materials relating to Rev. Lloyd Delaney's 1983 publication, Small but Bountiful: Rice Lake Story, Gore's Landing, Ontario.

Folder 1 includes 14 photographs including St. George's Church, Gore's Landing; Richard C.P. Brown; Col. Folder 2 includes the Colonel Robert Brown scrapbook (Col. Brown was a colonel of the Royal Scotch Fusiliers. Thomas Traill and J.W.D. Moodie were in his regiment). The scrapbook includes newspaper clippings pertaining to his interest in USA relations, campaigns abroad, and matters relating to colonial affairs in Upper Canada; it also includes several original paintings of noteworthy soldiers with whom Brown had come into contact. Also included is a painting of an Indigenous woman entitled "One of the Indian Women who received His R.H. the Prince of Wales... 7th Sept. 1860."

Also included are 4 original sketches: 1. [original] Gore homestead at Gore's Landing, Ontario - a watercolour from memory by T.S. Gore Jr.; 2. "Hazelbank, Rice Lake"; 3. "Mavis Bank, Rice Lake' by J.T. Mercer (cottage); 4. "Plan of St. George's Church Yard, Rice Lake". Also, an original Christmas greeting card with sketch from Gerald & Ivy Hayward, New York, 1924; photographic reproductions of Rice Lake sketches by Charles Fothergill and an offprint of a photo of Fothergill; miscellaneous sketches and notes.

Collection consists of 2 watercolour paintings by the Rev. Michael A. Farrar.

This fonds consists a diary (1863-1864) of M.A. Farrar and 12 drawings, etchings, watercolours and sketches by M.A. Farrar, genealogical information re the Farrar family, and photographs of Farrar and family members.

This fonds consists of two watercolours with one identified as Hastings, Ontario, and and the other identified as Forest City. Also included in the fonds are two pencil sketches and a photograph of another sketch. One sketch of two farms and a river with a steamboat on it, but otherwise unidentified. The other sketch is of the Anderson house, the Ashfield house, Mr. Harry Fowld's house and the Wanamaker's house, all in Hastings, Ontario. The photographic reproduction is of a sketch entitled Hastings on the Trent, Ontario. The watercolours and sketches were created by Rev. Michael A. Farrar.

This fonds consists of 59 photographs and 16 tintypes, (mostly unidentified), and one scrapbook with a number of original artwork pieces including two paintings on leave.

The fonds consists of assorted documents related to Peterborough County, and the surrounding area. It includes: By-laws of North and South Monaghan townships, broadsides (sale of lands for taxes), numerous newspaper advertisements (commercial and political) and assorted postcards depicting area scenery. Also included are two photographs, one of Hon. Zaccheus Burnham, and the other, of Rev. Mark Burnham.

This fonds contains galley proofs, correspondence, art work, page proofs, boards for deluxe copy and cover, clippings, press releases and research data collected prior to the publication of the Peterborough Historical Atlas.

Fonds consists of letters written to Peter Gzowski in his role as broadcaster for CBC's "Morningside" show. The hundreds of letters include such subjects as literacy, Prime Minister Jean Chretien, and Edith Babb. Also included are contracts, correspondence, notes, and memos relating to Peter Gzowski's career with CBC; records relating to Gzowski's association with the "Peter Gzowski Invitational Golf for Literacy" tournament; Gzowski's association with Ridley College, and Trent University (Margaret Laurence tribute, Timothy Findley conference, chancellorship); and greeting cards, personal calendars, photographs, family genealogical information, and correspondence relating to awards received. The fonds also includes correspondence, partial manuscripts, and notes relating to various books which Gzowski has written.

This fonds consists of letters addressed to Peter Gzowski and the CBC radio show "Morningside". It also consists of manuscripts, correspondence with publishers, etc.

The fonds consists of the diaries of Harriet Pengelley (1835-1836), Robert Pengelley (1835), and A.E. Marguerite (Rita) Pengelley (1940-1941); correspondence; sketchbooks (1829-1830); drawings; and photographs. In 1994, an addition was made to the fonds which included a photocopy of a diary of Robert Pengelley (1837-1840) and textual records regarding the Pengelley family. In 2018, an addition of Pengelley family genealogical information was received. Some of the diaries have typewritten transcripts attached.

File consists of oversized prints and engravings. Subjects vary, including a portrait of Sir Charles Nicholson (Provost of the University of Sydney); "Graves at the Head of the Harbour of Balaklava," "Old Custom House, Dundee," cartoons from magazines, and French drawings accompanied by poems.

Also included is a postcard and card from Kady MacDonald Denton to James Felton.
