              This fonds consists of correspondence, draft manuscripts, interview tapes and research notes pertaining to biographies of Foster Hewitt and Conn Smythe, etc.; notes and records resulting from Mr. Young's participation in the Royal Commission on Violence in the Communications Industry; and correspondence between Young and fellow media personalities including Robertson Davies, Peter Trueman, John Bassett and Pierre Berton. One of the largest series of records relates to the biography of his son, Neil Young.

              Rosemary McConkey collection

              This collection consists of 278 slides taken by Rosemary McConkey during her work as a nutritionist in Malaya (1962) and in Nigeria (1965). McConkey was part of a team of medical personnel and scientists from the University of Ohio who undertook surveys of nutritional needs in these two areas. McConkey has supplied a detailed listing of the slides (below) and has also included a 45 r.p.m. recording of the national anthem of Malaya "Negara Ku,", six books relating to the two areas and a map of Malaya.               Fonds consists of papers, articles, and manuscripts of books written by Robert Bowley. Included is research material, photographs, slides, and negatives relating to the postal history of Smith Township, Peterborough, and the surrounding area. Included also are letters dated 1823-1878 of the Baptie family who were situated in Ida, Ontario, and extensive research material related to Captain Charles Rubidge, Sir Sandford Fleming, the Pengelley/Roche families, S.J. Carver, and local historic sites. This fonds is a tremendous resource for information related to Peterborough and area in general.

There is information on social issues, poverty, education and women's issues included within the fonds.

Also included in the fonds are business contracts and correspondence from listeners, to the show, from across Canada. There are also materials relating to Peter Gzowski's radio career.
