Fonds is comprised of research and exhibit materials related to Glenn Madill. Included are some of Glenn Madill’s employment records, correspondence between Marisa Scigliano and archival repositories, photocopies of articles, personal notes, maps, posters, etc. Included are photographs forming the ‘Moccasin Madness’ and ‘Magnetic Moccasins’ parts of Scigliano’s ‘Moccasin Mania’ exhibit: approximately 33 enlarged mounted colour photographs taken by Scigliano on the Symons Campus, Trent University, in the fall of 2013; 16 enlarged black and white photographs taken by Madill in the 1920s during his northern expeditions (images found through research at the National Research Council).

The fonds consists of daily meteorological registers of observations of temperature, barometer readings, precipitation, clouds, wind velocity and direction and the general state of the weather of Peterborough, Ontario. Also included are monthly abstracts recording temperature and barometric extremes, the number of rainy, snowy or foggy days, the number of days when there was thunder or lightening. Newspaper clippings regarding Peterborough local weather are included.

This collection consists of a number of photographs which include John Butcher, sexton of St. John's Church in Peterborough. There is one photograph of his family outside their home as well as one photograph of John at age 34. There are also a number of photographs of the Hastings Lock, Healey's Falls and steam logging and boat with log boom. This fonds consists of transcripts of interviews with Peterborough and area citizens concerning their perceptions of the social, cultural, and political aspects of life in Peterborough from the early 1900s to 1974. There are also three cassette tapes forming one interview with Lorna Cotton-Thomas.

This fonds consists of minute books of the District Loyal Orange Lodge No. 3. Included are: 1) minutes of regular meetings from July 7, 1908 to December 31, 1933; and 2) Minutes from January 11, 1949 to January 30, 1950, May 8, 1966 to February 20, 1967, January 20, 1969, and January 11, 1972. Lodge No. 3 was redesignated Loyal Orange Lodge 76 in 1950 which was comprised of members from Lodges No. 80, No. 50 and No. 1175. The lodge closed in 1972.
