Biographical history
Lionel Rubinoff was educated at Queen's University (B.A.) and the University of Toronto (M.A. and Ph.D.). In 1971 he joined the Philosophy Department of Trent University as a Professor and he retained this position until 1991-92 when he was made Chairman of the Department. He left Trent University after the end of the 1994-95 academic year.
Custodial history
This fonds was collected by and in the custody of Professor Lionel Rubinoff before it was donated to Trent University Archives.
Scope and content
This fonds consists of scripts of plays presented mostly on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation radio between 1944 and 1951 which were collected by Professor Lionel Rubinoff.
Notes area
Physical condition
Most of the scripts are printed on highly acidic paper. As a result, the scripts are very brittle and fragile and researchers are asked to use extreme care. Also, many of the scripts are heavily marked and annotated.
