    Biographical history

    Jean Harstone, born 1900, was raised in Peterborough, Ontario. During the early 1920's she attended an architectural/interior design school in New York City and later went on to work in promotion and advertising for the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS) Radio Network and later for the National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) Radio Network. Jean Harstone died in 1980.

    Custodial history

    The fonds was in the custody of the Harstone estate before it was donated to the Trent University Archives.

    Scope and content

    The fonds consists of original designs and drawings by Jean Harstone from architectural design school, 1925-1926 and promotion, advertising and program materials from the Columbia Broadcasting System Radio Network and the National Broadcasting Corporation Radio Network, New York City, 1938-1952.
