Fonds includes manuscripts and galley proofs of her published novels “Hero of Lesser Causes”, “Adam and Eve and Pinch-Me", “The Only Outcast”, “Love You Like a Sister”, “In Spite of Killer Bees”, “Susanna’s Quill”, and “Accidental Lives”. She also included a copy of the manuscript for an unpublished novel “The Art of Casting in Bronze”. There are also many photographs, clippings, promotional materials, reviews, and awards celebrating Johnston’s career as an author.

Kennedy, Judge John de NavarreThis fonds consists of the bench books of Judge G.L. Murdoch from the court sittings of a circuit court covering Peterborough, Cobourg and Lindsay areas. The books note the defendant and prosecution names, the case number, exhibit numbers and short comments on the cases as the witnesses testify. The books comprise an "aide-memoire" for the judge as he listened to the various cases. Twenty-five of the books were the bench books of Judge Harry R. Deyman (1912-1975).
Murdoch, Gilbert L.Fonds is comprised of biographical information pertaining to Joyce C. Lewis, and research material pertaining to Irish immigrant Frances Stewart and to the nineteenth-century social history of Ontario. Items include correspondence, manuscripts and notes for speeches and articles, notes on various topics, research articles, typescripts and copies of historical letters, copy photographs, and slides. Also included are a number of original historical letters pertaining to the Stewart family and one original photograph of Harriet Beaufort. Unless otherwise noted, the research materials are primarily comprised of reproductions in the form of photocopies. Further Stewart family materials were received in December 2012 and added to Box 6.

Also included are two envelopes, one containing postcards pertaining to Buckhorn and the surrounding area with postmarks dating from 1907 to 1949, collected by Clayton Grant, the other containing a newspaper clipping, photograph, and colour scripture book. Also included are two books: My Bookhouse Through Fairy Halls, and The Standard Horse and Stock Book.
Anderson, JoyceItem is an original handwritten manuscript of the proceedings of the British Parliament during the reign of James I, dated February 1620 to December 1621. The manuscript is written on rag paper and is 117 pages in length. It is bound in half-calf, and the spine has the inscription: "Phillips MSS 3093." The binder's ticket on the inside cover has the inscription: "Bretherton ligavit 1848."
