Administrative history
The National and Provincial Parks Association of Canada (NPPAC) was founded in 1963 and is dedicated to preserving Canada's natural heritage. It is an educational non-profit organization and provides the public with information regarding the status of Canada's parks. It is specifically involved with park and wildland protection. In 1986, NPPAC underwent a name change and became the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS).
Custodial history
This fonds was created by and in the custody of the National and Provincial Parks Association until it was donated to the Trent University Archives by Kevin McNamee.
Scope and content
This addition to the fonds consists of office files of the National and Provincial Parks Association of Canada. Additions were added August 1992 from Professor John Marsh which were chapter newsletters from 1979 to 1985.
