Biographical history
William Twist was a resident of Lakefield, Ontario with a long-standing interest in its architecture and history. He was a member of the Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee (LACAC) from 1989 to 1995 and Chair of Lakefield's Christ Church Restoration Committee.
Custodial history
Collection was in the custody of Lucille Strath before it was donated to Trent University Archives in 2007.
Scope and content
Collection consists of materials pertaining to Lakefield, Ontario, including Lakefield's Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee (L.A.C.A.C.) meeting minutes, correspondence and research materials; issues of The Parish Magazine; medical receipts of Dr. John Rodger Fraser, Assessment Rolls; Fire Insurance Plans; business daybooks, one of which at least may have been related to the Hendren Funeral Home of Lakefield; and various other records.

The Assessment Rolls are mouldy; researchers may use these at their own discretion. A protective mask will be provided upon request.
