Fonds is comprised of published and unpublished books, plays, short stories, articles, and essays written by Professor Peter Royle. Included are hard copy manuscripts and notes, as well as several digital files.
Royle, PeterThe item is a microfilm of a copy book of correspondence from and to Peter Russell, president administering the government of Upper Canada during the period November 1796 to March 1798. The correspondents include Captain William Claus, Superintendent of Indians and Indian Affairs, and Captain Joseph Brant. Included are copies of speeches made by Russell to "Brothers, Chiefs and Warriors of the Six Nations" concerning their land grants on the Grand River, as well as speeches to "Brothers, Chiefs and Warriors of the Chippewa Nation".
Russell, PeterFile consists of Prof. John Wadland’s subject file on Peterborough. This file contains photocopied photographs and newspaper clippings. Topics in this file include photographs of old buildings in Peterborough, Regatta on Stoney Lake, reviews on the industries within Peterborough, and arts and theatre within Peterborough.
Items consist of accounts issued largely to the Westwood, Ontario Brackenridge family. The accounts were issued by businesses and institutions in Peterborough, Westwood, Hastings, Bridgenorth and Toronto.
Collection consists of photographs (mainly carte de visites) and postcards from Peterborough and surrounding area. Includes postcards of Knox Church, Peterborough; St. John’s Church, Peterborough; The Armouries, Peterborough; and Customs House, Peterborough.

File consists of Prof. John Wadland’s subject file on Peterborough and its district. This file is comprised of newspaper clippings with topics that include Kawartha’s landscape change, weed problems in rice lake, zebra mussels and their impacts, tourism, and infrastructure problems such as the parkway.
This collection consists of 3 maps: a photocopy of a map portraying a portion of Northumberland County, showing Hope and Emily Townships on the west and Murray and Methuen Townships on the east, 1830s; a photocopy of a map portraying a portion of Peterborough County, showing North Monaghan Township to Belmont Township on the south and Harvey to Methuen Townships on the north, 1897; and an original map of Peterborough County, 1897.

This collection consists of copies of the agendas and minutes of the first eight meetings of the Steering Committee on Bikeways. Also included are a 1975 Peterborough Bikeway Report (which includes a proposed bicycle trail map), correspondence, etc.
Peterborough BikewaysThe fonds consists of a photocopy of the Charter, 1889; a photocopy of the name change Order-in-Council, April 1922; original minute books from 1893 to 1918, plus excerpted items; and the Peterborough Chamber of Commerce bulletin on the Lift Lock post-1922.
Peterborough Board of TradeSeries consists of records documenting Peterborough Building Trades Council Local 370, Painters, Decorators, and Paint Hangers. Records include minute and record books, dues books, and a list of members.
This photograph includes portraits of 66 male graduates and 62 female graduates of the 1912-13 Peterborough Business College graduating class. Also included in the photograph are portraits of six instructors and administrators.
Peterborough Business CollegeThis item is a by-law which sets forth the provisions for granting certificates to tavern-keepers or other gaming houses selling spirituous liquors, along with the costs of such licenses and the applicable fines for breaches of the law. Notation on the back of this item indicates that this copy of the by-law was submitted as evidence in the case of Cumming vs. Faucher, March 16, 1872.
