- founding judiciary system of Ontario
- John Bethune - trouble with America 1811, simultaneous political problems in England, Napoleonic War
- William Macaulay [son] - decided to stay in York on Mr. Strachan's advice, as clergyman 1815, might send money with John Robinson to England with an order for books that he will need after he sets up as clergyman
- C.A. Hagerman - wants careful reporting of House debates in the York Gazette 1821, marriage law introduced by 'Robinson' receiving great deal of discussion, distressed by reaction by Nichol & his party, angry that debates have been misrepresented in York Gazette, "Robinson is a very able debater, but he loses his temper"
- C.A. Hagerman - Durham Election 1821, discussion about who can vote, bill re steamboats duty payments, tavern license bill, division of Town militia from the County militia
- [N.] Macaulay - 1828, the poor of York when sickly "are wretched beyond description," ration tickets given to poor immigrants, mentions Lady Colbourne & Mrs. Hagerman, and marriage of Mary Powell to Mr. Jarvis
