First Edition. Original Wraps. Octavo (8 1/2" x 5 3/4"), pp. 97-192, [1] - Errata. With Geological Outline, and de Barres 1778 folding chart reproduced on superb thin paper watermarked 'J. Whatman 1829.' Original printed blue wraps, sewn binding, top edge only trimmed, others deckled, some pages unopened. Pages 97-127 consists of the second half of Mr. Sheppard's 'Notes on the Plants of Lower Canada,' Baddeley's 'Reports on the Magdalen Islands' are from p. 128-190, p. 191-2 contains an extract from a communication by Mr. C. Varley on 'Pigments of Canada.' Except for a small 1" tear to the paper covering the lower end of the spine and an 1/8" chip at the top, this scarce copy is in near fine, collectible condition.
