  • Opened in fall 1968, the building is named for Flora McCrea Eaton, “one of the original honorary sponsors of Trent University”; born and educated in Omemee, trained as a nurse and married to Sir John Craig Eaton; her father-in-law, Timothy Eaton, was the founder of the Eaton's department store chain.

Photos are taken from all different locations including, the Bata Library stairs, the Bata Podium, Stephenson Bridge, the LEC Quad, the LEC South field, and from surrounding parking lots. Exterior shots of the residences, main college building, and dining hall are included. The Drumlin is also included in many photographs.

The ceremony was held on the Bata Library Podium and the cornerstone was unveiled by the daughter of Lady Eaton, Florence E. McEachren. Also seen in the photographs are President Thomas H.B. Symons and Margery Seeley.
