Fonds consists of records documenting the activities of Alumni Engagement and Services and its predecessors, including efforts to engage with Trent alumni in collaboration with alumni chapters and the Trent University Alumni Association (TUAA). Records include annual reports, planning documents, alumni council meeting minutes, correspondence,, Trent Magazine drafts and articles, and updates from alumni. Also included are records documenting events and engagement initiatives, including reunion weekends at Head of the Trent, chapter events, talks, dinners, the Alumni letter writing campaign, fundraising campaigns, and award ceremonies. Also included is promotional material from these events; photographs, video, and sound recordings of events and talks; and memorabilia created and collected by alumni. Fonds also includes the planning documents for some of the events with corresponding promotional material. Fonds is arranged into 10 series: Alumni affairs and university planning; Trent University Alumni Association (TUAA); Trent University Alumni Association chapters; Fundraising; Events and communications; News and publications; Insurance; Student alumni association; Memorabilia; and Trent University’s 50th anniversary.

This fonds consists of essay submissions, correspondence and financial records which relate to the Alternatives magazine when it was published at Trent. There are layouts, original artwork and subscriber information for several issues. Conserver Society Notes, which amalgamated with Alternatives, also has material in this collection.

Fonds consists of correspondence, interview audio cassettes and notes, and manuscripts relating to Alf Cole's book, Trent: The Making of a University, 1957-1987. The fonds is organized into three series: recorded interviews (audio cassettes), interview notes, and research files and chapter drafts.

This fonds consists of research in the 19th and 20th century Canadian historical geography, specifically emigration and settlement from British Isles to Upper Canada, the Trent Canal use during WWII, the environmental and cultural consequences of flooding from the Trent Canal dam in the late 19th century, and research on Bon Echo, Algonquin, and Banff National Parks. Research is also included on European migration and land settlement patterns and processes in Cape Province, South Africa in the early 19th century and in Western Australia in the early 20th century. Included in the research materials are several maps, a small collection of photo negatives, and microfilm reels.

This collection consists of 4 scrapbooks of newspaper clippings relating to the early history and development of Trent University.

This fonds consists of documents and correspondence relating to the presentation of Trent University honorary degrees to Dr. J. Harry Ebbs and Mary Northway. The fonds also contains documents relating to Mary's death and her bequest of two million dollars to Trent University, various documents relating to Ontario camps and to the Brora Centre, and miscellaneous photographs.

This fonds consists of the "2001: Coming of Age in Canada" Conference materials. This fonds has various notes, documents and correspondence as well as reports and audio cassettes. Also included are documents and correspondence regarding the Retired Citizens in Residence Program at Trent, 1973-1978.

This is an artificial collection of materials with a variety of provenances, documenting the Trent University Faculty Association (TUFA) strike in 1991, including strike bulletins and information sheets, Communications Office Bulletins, communiques from Students FEAT and A.N.S.W.E.R., Trent Student Union communiques, copies of student papers Arthur and Lilith, OCUFA Forum and CAUT Bulletin, TUFA parity buttons, transcripts of TUFA internal meeting, an untranscribed cassette tape of CBC interviews, 14 tapes of radio broadcasts and meetings, and other records. Also included are an oversized poster used on the pickets and a copy of the new three-year collective agreement between TUFA and the Trent University Board of Governors ending the strike.
