This addition to the fonds consists of photographs (approximately 141) taken by George Douglas on his many canoe trips [ca. 1920] in the Chandos, Burleigh, and Anstruther townships area and encompassing such towns and waterways as Lakefield, Stoney Lake, Loon Lake, Eel's Creek and Apsley. There is also a photocopy of an article entitled "George Douglas - Trip to Loon Lake 1925".

This fonds consists of: correspondence with Vilhjalmur Stefansson, Clifford Wilson and others relating to Arctic explorations; several photographs including some of the construction of the Peterborough Lift Lock and of downtown Peterborough, Ontario circa 1900; and newspaper clippings of book reviews. Also included are artifacts retrieved by Douglas from the area of Coppermine, NWT.

This fonds consists of correspondence concerning the estate of Mary Blake of Cornwall, England. The records were in the possession of George M. Furby Esq., manager of The Midland Loan and Savings Company in Port Hope, Ontario, who helped to settle her estate.

The fonds consists of photocopies of letters to George Campbell, mostly from Alex. and James Campbell from Manitoba, outlining working and living conditions in the aftermath of the Red River Rebellion. The letters contain comments on the ethnic nature of the population, farming prospects, and the election riot of November 1871. The letters were written between October 30, 1870 and October 5, 1874.

This letter is a hand copy of an indenture between G.B. Hall, his wife, E.M. Hall, and Zaccheus Burnham, for the sale of lands in Otonabee township.

File consists of Prof. John Wadland’s subject file on Canadian Geology. The file includes four posters with topics of fossils, minerals, rocks, and gemstones.
