File consists of letters and other written material. Many of the letters are from Vera (Morgan) Gzowski in France to her father, [name] from 1894-1901. Vera refers to her father as "Darling Vally-Boy" in most letters. There are a few letters from [father] to Vera. Letters from [father] to Vera are from France, Brooklyn, USA, and Rome, Italy. Other letters include a letter from Fanny Puzzi from Kensington, UK. Included also are three drawings made by Vera. Other material includes two post cards from Vera's father at Caen, France, and Paris, France to Vera at an address Paris in 1985. One poem written by Vera, addressed to her father is in French.

The fonds consists of typescript copies of letters patent and correspondence, from 1797 to 1855, relating to Bishop Jacob Mountain, first Anglican bishop of Quebec and to George Jehoshaphat Mountain, third Anglican bishop of Quebec, as well as to various Church matters. The fonds also includes notes taken from reports of The Society for the Propagation of the Gospel, from Letters Patent and from correspondence relating to Clergy Reserves and other topics.

Folder 1: Typed copies of Letter Patent and correspondence 1979-1855. The Letters Patent deal with various appointments of members of the Mountain Family; authorization to build a rectory; grants of land for building of churches. The correspondence is chiefly that of George Jehoshaphat Mountain, although some relates to his uncle, Jehoshaphat Mountain. Topic include appointments of various posts, petitions of widows of officers asking for help in claiming pensions, estimates of amounts for the payment of salaries of the Clergy, various other topics relating to the church.

Folder 2: Index of "Volumes in the Archives at Quebec Deposited in Vault of Museum". notes taken from reports of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts 1814-1844. (In the public museum at Quebec) Notes taken from Letters Paten 1799-1846, from the Quebec Diocesan Archives. Copies of correspondence and notes taken from correspondence relating to Clergy Reserves and to various churches. Extracts from the Mountain papers 1815-1836.

Octavo. Soft Cover. Pp. 39, Illustrated wrappers, sewn binding. Bold pencil signature across title-page of Antonio Perrault (1880-1955), an important Quebec lawyer, teacher and author. Both upper and lower cover detached but present, signatures a little loose but holding, spinestrip chipped, paper tanned around margins. Quite scarce. Louis Vauxcelles (1870-1945) was an influential French art critic. To him are attributed the terms Fauvism (1905), and Cubism (1908). [2693]
