This fonds consists primarily of business records of Flavelles Limited. It includes the charter, by-laws and minutes, ledgers, account books, audited statements, stock books and journals. There are also brief historical accounts of the family and the enterprises.

Original Wrappers. Octavo (24.5 cm x 16.5 cm), pp. 142. Large colour fold-out (47.5 cm x 64.5 cm) "Map of the Prairie Region, 5th April, 1879" at rear. Sewn and gutta percha binding, printed, salmon-coloured paper wrappers. Slightly soiled, chipping along the spinestrip with some loss, gutta percha dry and brittle, the sewing however, is quite tight, else very good copy. Lowther 556. [1695]
This item is an account book dated 1902-1903 of a furniture factory owned by Frank Sanford of Fenelon Falls. At the end of the book, several pages are filled with grain accounts. Throughout, many pages are covered with pasted-in pictures from magazines, and a child's drawings. There are also three pages of notes relating to British colonies.
Fletcher, T.M.A newspaper article in another folder mentions Macmillan found a letter by Florence Nightingale when at the University of Sydney.

This fonds consists a photocopy of a manuscript written by de la Fosse describing his brief experience in the Canadian West. There is a short introduction by Sylvia Boorman as well as concluding remarks. Two pages are missing and are mentioned by Sylvia Boorman in her introductory letter which accompanies the manuscript. The introductory letter is dated July 5, 1990.
