File consists of Prof. John Wadland’s subject file on religion. This file is comprised of newspaper clippings, student papers, and photocopied book excerpts and chapters. Topics in this file include the denial of Methodist church in the Prairies by Ontario, nationalism of Canadian churches, patterns of religion in upper Canada in the early 19th century, the influences of Calvinism on English Canadian culture, and religious education boards for religion-oriented learning.

First issue of second printing. 12mo. (18 x 11 cm), pp. 24 + 1 copperplate scene of Quebec, engraved and published by Robert Weir (Glasgow). Original pink printed paper wrappers. Covers soiled, stitching is loose, spine paper is split though covers still holding, damp-staining to upper and lower edges of wraps. Scarce first issue, with the copperplate, of the second printing. First printed by the Literary and Historical Society of Quebec in 1840. Text in French. Written by a nun of the L'Hopital General, it describes events during the siege of Quebec in 1759. This accession consists of copy photographs, several of which are of originals in the Reid family photograph album and date from the 1840's to 1900's. One is of the Robert Henry "Harry" Devinish Reid family accompanied by an identification sheet with vital statistics for each member. Included also is a set of ten copy photographs of three generations of the Reid family. This set is accompanied by a family chart providing statistics for those listed.

This accession consists of one dictionary, of which the title page is missing. The oldest date pencilled in appears to be 1780. Signatures include Robert Stewart, William Reid, Mary Stewart, and John Stewart. The dictionary, referred to as "Old Noah" by the Reid family, was passed down through several generations of Reid family. It originated in Ireland, and was brought to Canada by Robert and Maria Reid.
