File consists of 3 large folders containing records documenting the original furnishings of Trent University, as chosen by Ron Thom. Records include Ron Thom's list of furnishings (May 1964), a list of suppliers, newspaper and magazine coverage, and copies of correspondence between Thom and Vice President Denis Smith and President T.H.B. Symons. Also included are furniture specifications and designer information, drawings, and duotangs of purchase orders for the Bata Library, the Peter Robinson College Town House, and the Science Complex.

Contents include Ron Thom's award-winning architectural designs for Trent University. As Master Planning Architect, Thom was also responsible for choosing designer furniture for his new buildings. Some of the chairs which adorned the campus are featured in this newsletter.
