The document was issued by Monsieur de Boullougne, chief-treasurer or paymaster for the colonies. It was signed in Paris by Boullougne, by the Intendant de la nouvelle France and a witness.

This collection consists of 81 reproduction prints of original engravings of political figures removed from books. Most of the political figures are nineteenth century public figures such as George Brown, General Simcoe, Lord Durham, Robert Baldwin, Sir John A. This item is a copy and translation of a letter from Louis Riel in the prison at Regina to Dr. Romuald Fiset, thanking Fiset and the committee for Riel's defence, for what they were doing for him and outlining his activities since his return from the United States so that his attorneys (Lemieux and Fitzpatrick) might have his side of the story. In the letter, Riel also voices his desire that his trial be held in Lower Canada.

Item is an original handwritten manuscript of the proceedings of the British Parliament during the reign of James I, dated February 1620 to December 1621. The manuscript is written on rag paper and is 117 pages in length. It is bound in half-calf, and the spine has the inscription: "Phillips MSS 3093." The binder's ticket on the inside cover has the inscription: "Bretherton ligavit 1848."

This item is a parchment document appointing Joseph James Duffus a merchant in Peterborough, to the Senate of the Dominion of Canada in 1940. The Great Seal of Canada is affixed to the document.

This fonds consists of photocopied correspondence, of a political and social nature, mainly from Thomas D'Arcy McGee and John A. McDonald, covering topics such as the entertainment of the Maritime delegates to the Quebec Conference. The correspondence dates from June 5, 1862 to June 21, 1867.

There is one tintype of an unidentified elderly woman and another photograph of an unidentified elderly woman who was photographed by Ewing Photographer of Port Hope and Peterborough.

Fonds consists of two letters addressed to J.W. Curry from The General Reform Association for Ontario, requesting that he speak at upcoming meetings; one letter addressed to J.W. Curry from A.J. Reynolds concerning a convention at which a few divisions were not represented; and one letter which is a High Court of Justice exhibit and is addressed to a Mr. Clancy from M.F. Smith, Tremont House, Toronto, and discusses Smith's inspection of cases of corn.

These documents consist of two stapled mimeographed books. The first, dated March 1946 and entitled "The Union of Saskatchewan Indians: The Record of the Establishment of Indian Unity in Saskatchewan" records the minutes of meetings held in Regina, Duck Lake and Saskatoon, and provides names of the Constitution Committee. It also contains reprints of Treaties No.3 and 4. The second book, dated July 1946 and entitled "The Treaties Between Her Majesty, Queen Victoria and The Indians of British North America" contains reprints of Treaties No. 3,4,5,6,7, and 8.

This item is a photocopy of a letter written by H.H. Stevens January 11, 1968 to a student in History/Political Science 301 in response to questions posed. Stevens writes about the Report of the Price Spreads and Mass Buying Commission, 1934-35, The Canadian Manufacturers Association's complaint, R.B. Bennet's refusal to act, Bennet's removal of Stevens from Conservative Party and the elimination of sweat shop conditions.
