Also contained within the fonds are original records and brochures, photographs, and slides.
Wadland, JohnThis addition to the fonds consists of photocopies of correspondence of Anya Seton; a play called the "Rufus letters" 1890; a manuscript of a play; and an unpublished autobiography. The fonds also contains original manuscript and typescript articles by Elise Thompson including an interview, biographical notes and photocopies of articles on Seton. There are also photocopies of letters and documents pertaining to Seton's relationship with Grace Seton. As well in 1992 an inventory list was added of all Seton paintings in Philmot Ranch, Cimarron, New Mexico, including an inventory of Seton paintings in the Smithsonian as well as correspondence regarding a Seton painting.
Wadland, JohnFonds consists of correspondence and reports generated by Professor John Wadland in his capacity as Director of the Frost Centre for Canadian Studies and Native Studies at Trent University. Files pertain to the International Program, Association for Canadian Studies, Contact (Canada Studies Foundation newsletter), and fundraising at the university.
Wadland, JohnThese files contain newspaper and magazine articles, photocopies of articles from books and periodicals, and original booklets and publications, including some government publications. The materials were collected between the early 1970's and early 1990's, but some material dates back to the 1940s. The subjects of the files vary greatly and deal with various Canadiana topics such as media, publishing and related issues, northern studies, native studies, land settlement and land use, arts, etc. Perhaps the most useful part of the files will be the name files.
The files will be useful as a starting place for research on specific topics. They reflect the years they were collected and are by no means exhaustive, but offer another tool for researchers to use.
